    Who This Service Is For

    Immigration Mental Health evaluations are appropriate for individuals who are currently involved in an active immigration case and require a mental health assessment to support legal proceedings.

    Referrals are accepted from both:

    • Immigration attorneys
    • Individuals currently working with legal counsel

    About the Clinician

    Victoria James, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Ever Growth Counseling®. She is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida.Victoria has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including first- and second-generation individuals and immigrant communities. Her approach integrates clinical expertise with a culturally responsive lens to ensure evaluations are both thorough and contextually informed. She has completed specialized training in immigration psychological evaluations and provides services in alignment with established clinical and forensic standards.

    What the Evaluation Includes

    Each immigration mental health evaluation may include:

    • Comprehensive clinical interview(s)
    • Detailed psychosocial and immigration-related history
    • Assessment of current psychological functioning
    • Diagnostic impressions, when applicable
    • Use of standardized screening tools (as appropriate)
    • A structured, detailed written report tailored to the relevant legal criteria

    Reports are written clearly and professionally to support legal review and submission.

    Evaluation Process

    1. Initial Consultation
      A brief consultation to determine if the case is appropriate for an evaluation.
    2. Scheduling & Document Review
      Relevant legal and background documents are reviewed prior to the evaluation.
    3. Clinical Interview(s)
      One or more sessions conducted via secure telehealth.
    4. Report Development
      A comprehensive report is prepared based on clinical findings.
    5. Report Delivery
      Final report is provided within an agreed-upon timeframe.

    Fees

    Immigration mental health evaluations are offered as a private-pay service.

    Fees start at $1,200 to 1,900 and vary depending on the type and complexity of the case.
